Who is BusinessRx?

BusinessRx was founded by Wendy Mayer in 2026 after working since 2020 as ‘factional’ remote-based management support to SME business owners and leaders.

She has been involved in owning and managing SME businesses (or helping corporate business leaders run businesses) for over 25 years. Experienced across multiple industries and business sizes, Wendy brings a commercial mindset with hands-on execution, balancing big-picture thinking with the detail required to get things running properly.

Having owned businesses herself, she has a strong understanding of the business owner’s perspective (and pain points) and understands that it can be hard! Especially when you don’t have someone you can bounce ideas off or to pitch in to help when you need it. And as a multi-skilled management professional, Wendy loves facilitating owners’ ideas and turning them into reality, implementing solid systems and processes, document creation and management (yes, the boring stuff), or just generally ensuring basic fundamentals of the business are there and actually work.

Creating the right impact

The name BusinessRx is inspired by the original meaning of “Rx,” derived from the Latin word ‘recipe’ meaning ‘to take’ or ‘the formula for’. Long before it became associated with prescriptions, it represented the careful combination of the right ingredients to create the right outcome. That philosophy sits at the heart of BusinessRx.

Every successful business relies on the right mix of ingredients: clear strategy, efficient systems, strong processes, organised operations, financial clarity, great people, consistent workflows, and the ability to execute effectively.
